Familia Cassone was founded in 1957. It is a family owned and operated winery, created as the result of passion for winemaking and family tradition. In fact, most of the family members are professionals - medical doctors, attorneys at law, university professors and, of course, winemakers- who have found in it a continuation of their ancestors' traditional activity in Italy and later in Argentina, following their immigration post-WW1.

The Cassone Winery
Familia Cassone winery is located in Mayor Drummond, Lujan de Cuyo in the southeast of Mendoza. This area is framed by the Andes range, with its majestic Mount Aconcagua and is considered the best vine-growing zone in Argentina.

The growing conditions are continental and benefit from hot and dry summers, plently of sunshine, low rainfall and limited wind presence. Also important is the fact that vintages tend to be much more consistent than the sea-influenced weather conditions that are typical of most vine-growing countries.

Moreover, the high elevation, ranging from 3,200 to 3,600 feet, ensures proper poliphenolic maturation with high sugar concentration and antocians and limited presence of pest and bacteria, so that the vines are naturally organic. Familia Cassone applies all its resources to the production of wines with personality and unique characteristics. Years of experience, skill and care are matched by 100-year-old vines, extraordinary vineyard location and care with a focus on quality rather than quantity.

Currently, they export wine to the USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Holland, Belgium, Mexico, Brazil, Korea and Colombia.
