Piero Totis
Torre Rosazza is located in the "Colli Orientali del Friuli D.O.C", the eastern most appellation in Italy, which borders Slovenia. The site, known as "Turris Rosacea" or "Tower of Roses", is part of the 18th century "Palazzo De' Marchi", now transformed into a winery with cellar and guest rooms. The estate is centered on two natural amphitheatres of Eocene marl that are terraced and well exposed to the sun. Torre Rosazza's vineyards cover 65 hectares (160 acres), in a truly prime location surrounded by the top producers of the region.

Abbazia di Rosazzo
Owned by the insurance company "Generali", Torre Rosazza is vastly equipped with the latest technology. Donato Lanati, one of Italy's best enologists, was recently appointed to oversee wine operations. With his help, Piero Totis, the director of the estate, has transformed Torre Rosazza into one of the finest estates in all of Friuli, offering the typical varietals of the area: Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Tocai Friulano, Merlot, and Pinot Nero.

The best example of Torre Rosazza's innovative wines is the truly distinctive Merlot named "L'Altromerlot" or "The Other Merlot" to reflect its unique style.
